This stunning historic home is large enough for everyone to get ready at. One party can get ready at in the spacious top floor of the house and the other can get ready in the space underneath the house (though a bit dark, its still an easy spot)
The Crescent Garden is the perfect spot for your ceremony which also has a 200 year old oak tree with spanish moss!
Your backdrop can be the green bushes (we recommend a floral arch to spice it up so it's not just greenery) or you can be facing the pineapple fountain & house instead!
Our recommendation for your ceremony time depends on if you're doing a First Look or not:
If you're doing a First Look, start 2 hours before sunset. If you aren't doing a First Look, start 3 hours before sunset.
or elopements & intimate weddings, we recommend your reception be held in the secret garden.
For larger weddings, cocktail hour usually takes place on the piazza or in the secret garden while the reception can be tented or al-fresco on the Oyster Tabbey.
You can do all of your portraits at the GTBH (inside & out!) but we can also hop in the car and go somewhere else since it's downtown and a short ride away from other beautiful spots such as College of Charleston.
Plan to take photos for 2 hours before the ceremony regardless of if you're doing a First Look or not.
