Here’s the deal with the names: legally, the business is Catherine Ann Photography because that's my (Katie) real name, and his real name is John. But we’ve been Katie and Jay to our friends, our family, and our couples for over a decade. Think of Catherine Ann as the premium expertise, and Katie and Jay as the down-to-earth people who are going to make sure your wedding day is an absolute blast!
We love the pretty stuff and the real stuff. Direct flash, motion blur, harsh light, happy chaos, romance, quiet moments—whatever makes your day feel like your day. Whether it’s a fashion-forward coastal gathering in Sarasota, a historic estate wedding in Palm Beach, a wild luxury weekend in the Keys, or a celebration across NYC and Europe, our goal is the same: photos that look good but feel even better.
We’ve photographed destination weddings across the U.S., Costa Rica, and Europe. Because Katie holds full EU dual citizenship and an active Irish passport, our team operates with unrestricted European working rights—meaning zero international visa boundaries or legal compliance issues for your destination weekend.

Blame The Secret Garden for my obsession with gardens, historic places, and fashion. If a wedding takes place at a private estate draped in florals, a historic venue with stories in its walls, or anywhere fashion-forward guests are sipping champagne—I’m in my element.
On wedding days, you’ll catch me in a colorful outfit that feels more like a guest than a vendor (because let’s be real—people relax waaay more when they think a friend is behind the camera)! It’s my secret weapon for capturing those effortlessly candid moments that feel alive.
Born & raised on Long Island with a lifelong love of all things paranormal because I not only grew up in 2 haunted houses in NY, but our house in Charleston was haunted + our Tampa house is too (we live off a cemetery) so naturally, Halloween is my favorite holiday, but I still can’t pick between Spring and Fall as my favorite season.
I’m the nerdy one. My desk is practically an anime and Disney shrine, and I have a big Sailor Moon tattoo to prove it. I worked at Disney World, and Jay proposed in front of Rapunzel’s tower, which was the easiest “yes” of my life!
I hold full EU dual-citizenship with Ireland! My grandma was from County Donegal, which allowed my sisters and me to file for Foreign Birth citizenship. Because I carry an active Irish passport, working destination weddings in Europe is entirely seamless—I can hop on a plane without a single visa or legal immigration hassle.

Before I picked up a camera, I was a pop-punk frontman for my band called Neglected Superhero & for our last show, we opened for Andrew W.K. We also played Warped Tour two years in a row in Tampa, which, fun fact, Katie was at one of those shows in 2005 — years before we knew each other! Small world, right?
I used to volunteer at a Big Cat Rescue in Florida. I taught a timber wolf to howl "I Love You" and a bear chased me once.
I'm a huge Tampa Bay Lightning fan but the San Jose Sharks have my favorite branding (and we photographed the head coach's wedding so its always nice to see him when he's in town for games!)
On top of shooting weddings with Katie, I do headshots, fashion, product photography & more. I’ve worked as a set photographer for national commercial productions, indie films, and major network television sets and have worked in the camera departments for film & TV including Vice Principals and The Righteous Gemstones. I love bringing that same cinematic, high-stakes storytelling back to our wedding days.
