Gabs & David’s Winter Gadsden House Wedding
Sometimes you just really CLICK (haha) with people. Gabs & I didn’t get to meet until the morning of her wedding and with all the Covid Craziness we didn’t really get to talk much before her winter wedding at the Gadsden House!
But I felt like we had been lifelong friends as soon as I arrived. She & David are HYSTERICAL, so Jay & I had so much fun cracking jokes with them all day long. There’s a lot of Tom Foolery happening in these photos, which Gabs told me she wanted from the start!
Exhibit A: this text her Man of Honor sent her after I posted some sneak peek photos on Instagram!
Getting Ready
I’m going to need everyone to take a peek at how fabulous Gabs’ shoes were.
1st Look & Portraits
Right off the bat these two got silly for their portraits! I love taking photos that show off your personality. Don’t be afraid to get stupid and grab each others butts! We’ll still get romantic & beautiful images too, but be yourselves!
Ceremony at the French Huguenot Church
If I could only shoot in one church in Charleston for the rest of my life, its the French Huguenot. First of all, its pink. Come on.
Second, the light is ALWAYS pretty inside.
But anyway, the best part of this ceremony was right before everyone walked down the aisle. Gabs’ dad played a song on the piano and Gabs got emotional so her bridesmaids started fanning her face & dabbing her eyes!
After the ceremony we took some pics in the old graveyard because David cracked a joke about “till death do us part” and I couldn’t pass up the photo op. They also like Disney so I told them to give me Haunted Mansion vibes.
Winter Gadsden House Wedding Reception
When I tell you my jaw dropped when I saw their reception details.
Also, gotta give a HUGE SHOUT OUT to Bartender Brian. He really came in clutch and saved my ass. See, I shoot reception details before the ceremony starts because no guests are there and its the best time for photos.
Buuuut because of Covid, theres not a lot of Ubers around. So when I went to call one to take me to the ceremony, it was gonna take 25 minutes to even pick me up. The ceremony was starting in 15 minutes! So I begged Brian to give me a lift and he was amazing and drove me lol
But this is where being a photo team comes in handy – I alwayssss leave Jay at the ceremony site for this exact reason. If no one had been able to take me, at least he would have been there to get all the photos until I arrived late.
