Emily & Kaleb met at work in a little village in Surrey, England where Kaleb was over on a year’s placement from South Carolina. They first met at their department kick off meeting in the lunch line. “How are you?“ Kaleb asked. “Fine,“ Emily giggled as she quickly grabbed her food and scurried over to sit with her colleagues. Needless to say, that didn’t stop Kaleb’s pursuit and after a few email exchanges and drinks out together with colleagues, he plucked up the courage to officially ask Emily out on a date! They had their first date in a quaint borough of London – Clapham Common – at a beautiful little candlelit restaurant. It took that one moment to know they were destined to be together – though Kaleb would argue he knew from the moment he caught the smile of this beautiful girl at lunch in Surrey (-;

Emily’s favorite color is blush pink & sparkles so of course I was in heaven photographing all of their details! Emily has already begun to show some Southern Belle tendencies by having her new initials monogrammed in blue thread onto the lining of her wedding dress. Kaleb & his groomsmen wore mixed socks of the American & UK flags.

They got married at the French Huguenot Church which was the perfect size – very quaint and would comfortably seat 100 guests. It also helps that the exterior is blush pink which appealed to Emily (-; Their guests threw rose petals on the newlyweds as they exited the church before they were whisked away for portraits in a vintage Rolls Royce – we hit up some of my favorite spots downtown like Chalmers Street & Rainbow Row before we headed back to the Legare Waring House for romantic portraits under spanish moss covered oak trees. I love the favors that doubled as place cards – all the ladies received mini Champagne bottles (Emily’s favorite) and all the lads got kALEb beer (Kaleb brewed it himself!). The entire reception took place on the lawn of the Legare Waring House under cafe lights and guests sat at tables named after locations that were special to Emily & Kaleb. During Kaleb’s welcome speech to their guests, he surprised Emily with a ring that he had been “saving for his future wife” for the last 10 years…long before they even met. It was just about the sweetest thing we’ve ever seen!

We had so much fun with these two and we’re so glad they dont live super far away so we can hang out again! Congrats Emily & Kaleb!
