I will never forget Liz & Geno because their first consultation with us is the reason we decided to specialize in historic site and outdoor weddings. When Liz spoke about her vintage themed wedding at the Davis Island Garden club, I got just as excited as she did! Chandeliers in the trees, vintage decor, glitter, a re-upholstered victorian couch…yeah. All of that is right up my alley! I couldn’t wait for their big day.
It was just a bonus becoming friends with them in the process(-: They are so deeply in love with each other and you can instantly tell. Their wedding day brought their families together for the first time and they were happy to spend it with their closest loved ones. Liz’s father built them a custom whisky bar and adorned it with 3 flags: The British flag, for Liz’s heritage, the Cuban flag for Geno’s heritage, and of course, the good ol’ ‘Murican flag (-;
They loved the welcoming arch of greenery at the Davis Island Garden club that takes you down the path into the garden and the white gazebo with the water glistening behind it. It had all the aspects they were looking for- light and airy , natural garden, romantic and whimsical!Â
We asked Liz a few questions about her day!
The girls were so fun to hang out with while they got ready for the day! Everyone was calm and enjoying the day
I just adore their cake topper, so simple and pretty!
Their whisky bar was so cool and definitely a hit with the guests!
I can’t get over this shot of Geno that my amazing friend Jessica Charles captured. Thanks for 3rd shooting, Jess!!
Geno had the best expressions!! He was so happy to marry the love of his life
I just love their victorian couch. Geno tried to sell it to me for $500 but Liz was keen on keeping it ;-D haha
I’ll be honest…I love cake smashes!! Look at that cake flying in the air (-;
