William + Clifton’s Anniversary Photos at Middleton Place

William & Clifton first met a few years ago when they worked together & Clifton found his way to William’s heart the smart way: through his stomach (-; He promised to take William out for food one night after their shift was over and the rest is history!

They live in Savannah GA & came up to Charleston for the first time together for their anniversary photos at Middleton Place! Clifton had actually never been to Charleston before. William’s original plan for their photos was to rent a cute Air BnB and have lifestyle “at home” photos but then he emailed me a few weeks before the shoot that he had instead contacted Middleton and set up a shoot there. Of course I gushed about Middleton – we got married there! He even had one of our wedding photos saved as inspiration on his phone and I was like “thats us!!! ^___^”

We pretty much hit every spot at Middleton, including the horse & carriage, which they were excited for! And we got some sheepies in the background. One of my favorite photos of the day was towards the end. I felt like they’d be really good at a jumping high five photo and I was NOT disappointed – William showed off his dancer skills in that photo. Pretty sure I actually yelled out “Yessssssssss!!!”

(This was also my first shoot with our brand spankin’ new camera system; the Sony A7iii! Yep. We jumped ship from Canon after TEN YEARS)
