Romantic Fairytale Wedding in Charleston

Blaine & Andy’s fairytale wedding in Charleston at Magnolia Gardens was inspired by Disney and Blaine’s love of all things romantic – I mean, the girl is obsessed with Disney and T Swift & chose to do their engagement photos at Eolia Mansion, a gilded age mansion in Connecticut! So there was lots of soft pinks, gold & white, pearls, lace and romantic Disney quotes!

• Balines ENTIRE look – her gown was stunning & her blusher veil was so romantic and it all really tied in with the romantic fairytale garden vibe she was going for
• The table “numbers” which were Disney quotes
• The petal toss after the ceremony
• Andy’s black wedding band – y’all know I like things that are different from the wedding norm!
• The vintage pink & gold plates at the reception

Getting Ready

How did you feel the morning of your wedding?

Giddy, excited, and happy! No stress at all, other than the chance of rain!

What made your wedding day special, unique or personalized to you as a couple?

Our wedding was unique to us in many ways, but it was most special because it was at a place that we both loved so much and explored several times during our dating relationship. Charleston is where we met and fell in love and it was so special to be able to get married there.

You kept the traditional aisle walk as your first look – How did you both feel seeing each other for the first time, what do you remember thinking in that moment, etc.

We kept it traditional, and I loved it!!! We were just focused on each other in that moment and felt such a sense of togetherness and love. I remember thinking, it’s actually happening! and how I’ve waited for this walk to my husband all my life.

While I didn’t do one with Andy, I did a first look with my dad and it was so special. I would definitely recommend doing one with your father instead of or in addition to your groom! It was a special moment to share before your father sends you off to get married. 

What do you look forward to most about FINALLY being married? (-:

Being able to have a live-in best friend and to have someone to come home to every day.

Fairytale Garden Wedding Ceremony

What was something quirky or crazy that happened on the wedding day?

I put the ring on the wrong finger…but I fixed it and gave everyone a laugh!

What did you splurge on & what did you save on?

We splurged on the decor mainly. I knew my vision and really just wanted the reception space to be like entering into a storybook love story scene. We saved on not having a grand display at the ceremony because the location on the river is just so beautiful that it didn’t really need anything!

What was your favorite detail of the day?

The reception decor and how everything just looked so stunning and perfect. 

Whats the best advice you have for future couples planning their big day?

Do what makes you happy and don’t worry about anyone else! It is YOUR day! Also, have fun and make it your own in special little ways. 

What did you love most about working with us?

Gosh, everything!! I loved how smoothly everything went, even when the rain came and changed the timeline, there was no stressing or sign of concern. So professional! I also just love the details and personality that shines through our photos. You capture the people and the candid moments so well, giving us so many fond memories to always be able to look back on.
