Melissa & Patricks gorgeous pink and white elopement took place on a Wednesday under an ancient oak tree dripping with spanish moss at Magnolia Plantation with their immediate family and their two adorable Maltese dogs! They had so many special details – Melissa HAND SEWED a little message for Patrick, her dad, and his dad on their ties as well as ones into the jackets of her brother in law and her nephew. She carried photos of her grandparents tied to her bouquet, her sister and brother in law sang their processional & recessional songs and her cutie pie 7 month old niece wore a smock dress that once belonged to Melissa. Melissa and her nephew Charlie share a special bond which we could see all through out the day. Charlie carried a family heirloom bible down the aisle with the rings and at one point ran up to Melissa & Patrick during the ceremony to hug them! .
I was in heaven photographing Melissa’s gorgeous details that she put a lot of thought into – she really thought of everything! She chose her vintage stamps carefully for her invitation suite (like the Grace Kelly & Southern Magnolia ones), she picked the prettiest dusty rose silk ribbons to tie around her bouquet, and…my girl got a dingle hopper! Yes, Melissa is also obsessed with Disney and Patrick proposed to her at Cinderellas Castle!!
After the ceremony, the four of us walked around Magnolia Plantation to capture that Southern charm that its known for. Melissa & Patrick love spanish moss so I made sure to take them to all the best moss spots (-; There was also a gorgeous pink couch from 428 Main & a vintage car for us to play with!
