Morning Engagement Photos in Downtown Charleston

Im not much of a morning person (but more so than I was a year ago! I get up BEFORE 10am now which is a small miracle) but I have to say that doing morning engagement photos in downtown Charleston definitely has some perks. The light is really pretty and we beat all the tourists to the good areas (-;

Emily & Chris (aka Hal) had two friends in college who kept trying to set them up but the timing was never right. It wasnt until AFTER college that Chris got Emily’s number and finally asked her out. They love walking around the different neighborhoods of Brooklyn so I knew they would really enjoy seeing all of MY favorite little neighborhoods of Charleston. We walked around Chalmers Street, Tradd St, Longitude Lane, Church St, Rainbow Row and the Battery.

Emily on how Chris popped the question:
“Hal popped the question in Paris on February 15th. Paris was cold but romantic for Valentines Day. Hal had just get the new IPhone 10 a few days before and had asked me to take some pics of him in Paris. When I went to review the pictures, the 10th picture saved on his phone was of a diamond ring! He mentioned he was planning on proposing but he was going to put this off now since I ruined the surprise and I believed him. However, later that day following a lovely lunch and ballet at the Paris Opera House, we went to Place Des Voges and he proposed outside the park. It was a dream come true.”

We cant wait to see what design Peper Events comes up with for their Legare Waring House Wedding in the Spring!
