Kristen & Michael’s Magnolia Carriage House Wedding
Kristen & Michael’s outdoor wedding at Magnolia’s Carriage House was so much fun and here’s some of my favorite things from their day!
•Kristen & the bridesmaid threw flower petals in the air in the their pink robes & toasted with some Truly after they got dressed.
•Kristen got STITCHES taken out by her mom (dont worry -shes a nurse!) right after they got into her dress – and that was a first for me after 12 years of being a wedding photographer!
•Michael & his mom had a really funny first dance that included props.
•The vintage car was their favorite part of the day and we took tons of photos with it.
•And finally, at the end of the reception is was raining so hard that the carriage house started to flood!! So the sparkler exit got thrown out & an indoor high five exit was put into place!
Getting Ready
How did you feel the morning of your wedding?
I was most nervous in the morning but was also super excited and happy to have all of my friends and family with me to get ready for the big moment!
What was the most special moment of the day for you?
I think we both really enjoyed all of the little moments that just us got to be together, especially right after the ceremony. And I know Michael really enjoyed getting to eat the cake ;)
What do you look forward to most about FINALLY being married? (-:
We are just so happy right now and soaking it all in! We are definitely looking forward to our move to GA and buying out first home together.

What was your favorite detail of the day?
the car!!! And the peacock making an appearance was pretty awesome as well
What was something quirky or crazy that happened on the wedding day?
the down pour of rain was unexpected but made it so fun. Our sparkler send off got rained out but I think it was even better than we expected running through the rain to the car :)
You did a First Look: What made it special, how were you both feeling before & after it, would you recommend it to a friend, etc
I was still tearing up after the first look with my dad which was a favorite part of mine as well. With Michael it was so special hearing his groomsmen cheer us on in the back! I loved doing the first look because it was a very intimate moment for us! Also it was nice getting to get some of our photos done before the ceremony so that we could enjoy more of the wedding!

What did you splurge on & what did you save on?
we for sure splurged on getting the best photographers and videographer. We also went big with the venue itself and get away car. My dress was consignment and we did bring some of our own decor to save!

What made your wedding day special, unique or personalized to you as a couple?
I think our dance floor crowd made it so much fun and they were wild. Being in Charleston and having all of our friends and family come to the place where we began our story was so special.
Whats the best advice you have for future couples planning their big day?
try to have as much fun as you can planning because it does get stressful.. but it totally works if you have a good planner and good team to help with all the finer details. That way on the big day you can just go with the flow and not be stressed!
What did you love most about working with us?
Y’all were so great to work with from the very beginning. You made it fun and were so easy to talk to and so accommodating. Y’all know what you’re doing and we were able to trust that you would get all the best shots. I can’t thank y’all enough for giving us such precious memories from our big day! Would 10/10 recommend you to anyone ;)
