Rachael & Simran’s Fusion Wedding at Lowndes Grove
Rachael & Simran’s wedding at Lowndes Grove was one for the books!
Getting Ready at Lowndes Grove
Rachael put a lot of thought and care into every single detail – we even had a phone conversation on what sort of gifts she wanted to give her bridesmaids because she didn’t want the typical bridesmaids box. She really wanted to make them special and “Charleston”! She ended up choosing oyster shell earrings, palm frond roses (they never die!), and a really cute oyster shell that has Rainbow Row painted on it!

Lowndes Grove Wedding Photos
Rachael & Simran shared a first look at Lowndes Grove but that wasn’t our original plan for the day! These two are a prime example of adapting on the fly (well I mean, they DID have to reschedule their original 2020 wedding because of Covid so they were already pros at this).
They got married on Memorial Day & LOVE spanish moss so we were planning on taking their couples portraits down the street at Hampton Park which is not only a 3 minute drive from Lowndes Grove but its the site of the first memorial day parade in the country back in the 1800’s!
Which, honestly, should have been the clue we needed that the park would be packed haha Their Rolls Royce driver got stuck in the Hampton Park parade traffic on his way to come get them so we decided instead of spending 40 minutes in traffic to even get into the park, we stayed at Lowndes.
BUT…Rachael’s dad, brother and the driver said “hold on while we go find some Spanish Moss”. And uh…they did!! And they came back and put it on a tree for their pictures!

Fusion Wedding Ceremony at Lowndes Grove
A lot of their wedding guests still couldnt make it to the new wedding date so Rachael & Simran live streamed their wedding ceremony

Fusion Wedding Reception at Lowndes Grove
This was one of the most FUN wedding receptions we’ve gotten to see!! Rachael & Simran had a really amazing choreographed first dance with lots of dips & spins (we’ve nick named Simran the Dip Master because hes so fricken good at it).
After the parent dances they invited everyone up to the dance floor for a traditional Indian wedding song & dance that helps everyone “wake up” and get in the dancing spirit and holy crap did it live up to its name!! Basically a lantern gets passed around the person holding it dances in the dance circle and just about everyone had a chance with it!
It wasnt the last Indian song played either during the night. It was the perfect fusion of Indian & American traditions! Fun fact: Simrans heritage is Indian/Irish, his dad is from Ireland & his parents met and lived in Belfast!
