Beth & Alex’s Jewel Toned Fall Wedding at Runnymede
If you’re tired of seeing the same old wedding details like Beth & Alex were, then whip out that wedding planning binder and take some notes from their wedding at Runnymede Plantation! These two did what ever the fuck they wanted and kicked anything they didn’t like to the curb. The result: pure magic.
Getting Ready
Beth and the bridesmaids got ready at the Lashes & Lace studio which was just super convenient! They not only got pampered with hair & makeup but yummy champagne & food too!
Beth wore her grandmother’s engagement stone in a necklace and Alex’s grandmothers stone is in her ring! Y’all know heirlooms give me the warm and fuzzies. Oh and she wore a fricken CAPE….ahhhhhhhhhh!!!
Alex and the boys (and dogs!) were at their house hanging out. Beth & Alex are known as the best party throwers in their group, with many hangouts being hosted at their house, so they guys were well equipped for a good time there!
Portraits at Runnymede Plantation
Would you believe me if I told you these were done in 20 minutes?
Yep, First Look + Portraits, full Wedding Party & Family photos. We ran really behind, as weddings are prone to do, but because of magical timeline buffering we got all the photos that were scheduled pre-ceremony done with about 5 minutes to spare before the ceremony. Bonus of doing everything at one location (-;
But this is also why we schedule couples portraits more than once, but broken up into smaller sections, after the ceremony. Its to make up for any lost time earlier in the day due to bad weather or general running behind.
Oh, I’m also going to need you all to start worshipping Beth’s bouquet. I mean, would ya just look at it?
Runnymede Plantation Ceremony
This oak tree is such a beautiful spot for a wedding ceremony at Runnymede. I love the way the light spills through spanish moss & thick branches.
Beth & Alex hung some florals from an arched branch & placed a rug under it for their ceremony spot. They had their dogs, Kolsch and Barley, walk down the aisle (these dogs are nuts and we love them) and a family friend married them, which caused lots of laughs and tears.
After the first kiss, Beth and Alex did NOT walk down the aisle…instead, they walked straight ahead to lead their guests right to cocktail hour! I was walking backwards shooting them when Alex looked at me and said “Are you ready?” and then he JUMPED into the air because hes a boss.
Jewel Toned Fall Wedding Ideas
Im obsessed with their jewel toned wedding decor. And so were they! Right after the ceremony we took some photos of Alex & Beth with Kolsch & Barley before the pups were whisked back to their home for the rest of the night. The sun was quickly dipping behind the trees so this was our only time for Just Married photos with the furniture they so lovingly picked out.
But for real, lets talk about the cocktail hour decor.
The cocktail hour took place in the plantation ruins and they had about 4 different lounges set up in different colors with different floral arrangements and seats. The guests absolutely loved this and took full advantage of the fun furniture!
Runnymede Plantation Reception
Hanging flowers, vintage furniture, yakitori bowls, a cigar bar…and a disco ball?! Yes. All the yes.
These two really DO know how to throw a killer party.
