Meg & Nick’s Intimate Charleston Wedding Ceremony
*I want to preface this post by saying that this ceremony was about two weeks before all these “no more than 3 people gathering” rules were put into place! Weddings & events were juuuust starting get pressured into considering postponing & Meg and Nick did take that part seriously which is why their large wedding is next year and we can’t wait to capture them FINALLY celebrating on a larger scale!*
Meg & Nick’s big wedding got postponed to next spring due to the Coronavirus (like literally, 3 days before their wedding day they had to postpone), but this sweet couple & their immediate family still threw an intimate ceremony on the original wedding date!
The Waterfront Ceremony
Meg & Nick actually got married that morning and held the “ceremony” in the afternoon, with us & their immediate families watching! I love all the little layers they keep piling on to their marriage story haha. While their actual officiant presided over their morning marriage (lol) Meg’s stepdad got ordained that day too so that after walking her down the aisle, he could preside over their afternoon ceremony! Seriously, I love little things like that, its just so sweet!!
They ceremony was on a community dock in the neighborhood of Meg’s parents so she arrived in style on a golf cart!
Portraits
While everyone headed back to the house to start their backyard BBQ reception, Meg, Nick, Jay & I took a quick stroll down the street to snap some Just Married photos for them since they legally Did The Damn Thing and want some pictures of themselves (-; we didn’t stay out long but I love what we got! My favorite photo was Jay’s idea – he said to do a “Coronavirius Approved Kiss”
