Megan & Kevin’s Blush Pink Wedding in Columbia SC

was on a very sunny, cool day in early March at The Farm at Ridgeway, which was a very nice change from the weather we had BEEN having at the time (which was really cold and rainy). This wedding had everything I love: lots of colors, top notch vendors, family heirlooms (Megan had her grandmothers handkerchief and pieces of her mothers wedding dress attached to her bouquet), amazing florals, pretty dresses, super fun bridal party, and of course a wonderful couple that we adore! Megan & Kevin currently live in Europe for Kevin’s work but they came home to celebrate and party with their friends and family.

As with every wedding, there were hiccup and they all involved dresses – but nothing that planner extraordinaire Meagan couldn’t handle! One of the bridesmaids dresses broke and while the issue took a lot longer than anyone anticipated (almost an hour and a half), it WAS fixed and we were able to start the bridesmaids photos. But of course, someone spoke too soon (making a comment about how at least it wasn’t the brides dress) and after only 3 photos, the bride looked down at her gorgeous hand painted gown and noticed she had a yellow pollen stain on her dress! Once again, planner Meagan rushed to the scene and in about 2 minutes had the stain completely gone! While we waited for Meagan to get her magical cleaning solutions, the bridesmaids gather around bride Megan and told her super cheesy jokes to get her mind off of the stain…and it worked! Her laughing at the jokes are some of my favorite candid photos of the day!

Megan and Kevin loved the open stone fireplace and chose to have their wedding ceremony in front of it with gorgeous flowers lining the mantel. The fireplace was truly a centerpiece for the whole day; we did all of the family photos in front of it, some bride & groom pictures, the cake table was moved to it after the ceremony and guests danced in front of it as well! After the ceremony we snuck away with the couple for some romantic golden hour portraits on film (so of course they are SUPER DREAMY looking) before they headed inside to party with their guests!
