7 Fun Ideas to Style The Groom

I’ll admit that when Jay & I were planning our little wedding back in 2018 I fell into the trap of “oh he doesn’t really care about any of this wedding stuff” and BOY WAS I WRONG. He cared a lot more than I thought, especially about how he looked!

It also made me pay more attention to how happy our grooms are when they’re dressed in a way that makes them feel good on their wedding day! They love pointing out little things, like what their cufflinks represent to why they didn’t wear socks or a tie.

Are you a groom searching for the perfect style, such as wearing an earring, to enhance your wedding day look? Make a fashion statement with Statement Collective’s statement earrings. Our unique designs are a blend of creativity and style, allowing you to express yourself with confidence. Redefine your fashion choices with statement earings from Statement Collective.

So Grooms: here are 7 fun & stylish ideas to let your personality shine through on the wedding day!

1. A Custom Suit In Your Favorite Color, Pattern, or to Represent Your Culture

Jay really wanted an emerald green suit with a white brackish bowtie so we invested in those things for him. A & P were having a fusion wedding with the first half being dedicated to P’s Indian heritage. And Trey wanted something fun & unique because he’s a fun guy!

2. A Pair of Your Favorite Sunnies

Now, you won’t be wearing these all day, but I definitely think we should take some photos of you wearing your cool sunglasses! And if all the groomsmen have a pair too, they can whip em out as well!

3. Cufflinks of Something You Love

We’ve seen it all from Mickey Mouse for a Disney lover to airplanes for a pilot to antique photos of the Grooms great grandparents! Your cufflinks are a subtle nod to something you love.

4. Unique Jacket Lining or Embroidery

A unique jacket liner or getting something embroidered on the inside of your jacket acts like a keepsake of the day! One of Jay’s “very good points” was that he actually gets to wear his suit again and the same goes for you! So do something fun with your investment.

5. A Stylish Tie or Bowtie (or none at all if that’s more your style)

Your neck ware (or lack of) is what everyone will be seeing so make sure its something that fits your personality. Some of grooms are VERY casual and laid back so wearing any sort of tie or bowtie just wouldnt feel like who they are. Others want pops of color or something fancy but fun like the Brackish Bow Ties (plus its a Charleston company so its a nod to where they’re getting married!).

6. Comfy Shoes

If I tell Brides to wear comfy shoes, Im telling Grooms the same!! Formal footwear can really pinch your feet so choose shoes that you want to be in for 10+ hours.

7. Fun Socks That Make You Happy

I always end up asking if anyones wearing fun socks because I can’t see them and usually…they are! Socks are a great way to either tie in your wedding theme, your favorite TV show or movie, or your dog! No really, theres literally businesses out there that make custom socks and you can get your dogs face on them!
