Yay!! My sister got married last month! (-: Lauren & Sean have been together since they were in 11th grade (here’s a hint to how long that is: they graduated in 2004). They decided on the historic city of New Orleans as the location for their intimate wedding. Only sixteen people were invited, being our family, his family, and their best friends. Originally they were going to elope to Paris but decided instead to have a small wedding, but she didn’t want it here in Florida. New Orleans is as French as she could get in America!
I helped Lauren plan the wedding since we both lived in Tampa at the time. We had some adventures, such as getting stuck in traffic for an hour in the mall PARKING LOT, and ruining their dining room table by making perfume wedding favors. I was also put in charge of finding her a wedding venue. Considering the short amount of time I was given (only a month notice), I had a somewhat hard time finding a place that wasn’t already book for a Saturday in March. I knew what my sister wanted though: a historic building. Enter The Elms Mansion. Â Located in the Garden District, I knew this was the perfect historic venue for my sister. I sent her the link to their site and she was sold! Keep scrolling down to see why (-:

The day before the wedding we all walked around the French Quarter for a big. If you know me, you know I love gas lamps! We took a ghost tour that night too and our guide told us about 2 big fires back in the day that burnt down a lot of the city. She kept saying “here in New Orleans, we don’t like fire”. After the tour, my little sister brought up a good point: if they hate fire so much, why do they have so many GAS lamps?!
My sister loves the store La France in Ybor City, she’s the one who turned me onto them! She got her gorgeous earrings and bracelet from them (-:
Sean’s best friend Vinny sent the gals some champagne
I’m in love with the flowers from Poppy & Mint!!
I about died when I walked inside the Elms Mansion! So my style. I explored a few of the lower rooms, they were all gorgeous! I would love to photograph a whole wedding at the Elms Mansion one day.
Ok, I have to point out that this is NOT my sisters cake. There was another wedding after hers that they were already setting up for, but I snapped a photo anyway :-p
My beautiful sister!
And beautiful Sean (just kidding, Sean!)
Internet, meet my dad. Dad, meet the internet.
My sister bought these bubbles and they smelled like fresh cut grass
Literally the only photo I’m in from that day! I love that black lace dress, wish I could wear it every day!
