Caroline & Ryan’s Wedding at the Cedar Room | Charleston SC
We’re so excited that this wedding was printed in the 2017 Summer Issue of Charleston Weddings Magazine as well as on their blog!
Im writing this blog post as Jay & I are sitting at the JFK airport, but I just HAD to blog about Caroline & Ryan’s romantic wedding at the Cedar Room in Charleston! Im so excited to share these photos because it was a day full of love, laughter, tears, and stunning details! Everyone started the day at the Cottages at Charleston Harbor – the girls sipping on mimosas while getting their hair and makeup done by Dannon Collard and Ash & Co and the boys hanging out at the pool after a morning workout. I loved photographing Caroline’s details – the ring pillow was made from her mothers wedding gown and her bouquet from Miele was full of pink and white blooms with eucalyptus leaves and tied together with a gold ribbon. After getting into her gorgeous lace and ruffled Hayley Paige gown (complete with a drawing of the gown from Hayley), Caroline did a first look with her dad at the Cottages before they both got into a vintage car and were whisked off to the church.
All week leading up to the wedding, the weather apps were predicting a bright and sunny day that would feel like 110 degrees! However on Friday night when I checked suddenly it was calling for rain! While it was overcast the whole day, it didn’t rain at all and we created some gorgeous colorful portraits on Chalmers Street! The cobblestone streets, pink historic buildings, Caroline’s bouquet, Ryan’s bright blue suit and the blooming crepe myrtle trees all came together to make a set of super romantic and colorful wedding portraits that really resonate with our brand!
The ceremony at St Lukes chapel was presided over by Ryan’s family’s pastor who flew down from Boston. The reception space was brought to life by the lovely ladies of Pure Luxe Bride. From the white wood chairs to the pink sparkly table clothes, the chandeliers hanging from the ceiling and the floral centerpieces that matched the brides bouquet, Pure Luxe Bride really transformed the once historic cigar factory into an organic fairy tale reception. The wedding cake was made by Mercantile and Mash, located right underneath the Cedar Room, and the middle layer was adorned with gold leaf and topped with the bride and grooms name. The guests danced the night away to the tunes of the Emerald Empire Band and when they needed a break, they either hopped over to the photo booth or enjoyed the warm night air in the outdoor lounge smoking on cigars. Caroline & Ryan will be able to relive their wedding day with not only our photos, but with their wedding film from Film Anywhere Productions.
Congratulations on your marriage (and head coach position for the South Carolina Stingrays) Caroline & Ryan!
