Modern Wedding at the Cedar Room Where the Bride Wore Red Jimmy Choo Shoes

I cant even be mad that it was rainy on Megan & Reid’s wedding day – they picked two of the best indoor spots in Charleston that made for perfect photo backgrounds! They both got ready at the Dewberry Hotel, which is basically all of my Mad Men dreams come true in terms of mid century modern decor, and just truly vibed so well with their modern chic style.

Megan & Reid wanted their first look & portraits to be at Rainbow Row but since it was forecasted to rain all day we came up with a backup plan of shooting in the Dewberry lobby if it was rainy. The rain held off long enough for them to have their first look at Rainbow Row but we couldnt stay for very long so we headed back to the Dewberry to wrap up their portraits and it was magical! I had so much fun doing their portraits in front of the fun wallpaper, gleaming wood walls and midcentury furniture!

After the ceremony, which was presided over by Megan’s brother-in-law who is also Reids best friend,  we did their Just Married portraits inside the Cedar Room while their guests were under a tent in the courtyard for cocktail hour. The couple really loved the Cedar Room because it reminded them of home (Brooklyn) – they loved the tall ceilings, large windows, cool red door, friendly staff and also no music curfew (-;

My absolute favorite detail of the day were the customized jean jackets Megan had made for her & her sister! She had both of their new last names put on them and wanted pictures of her and her sister wearing them – its one of my favorite sibling photos we’ve taken!
