Getting Ready

Ok I have to start this blog post off with an embarrassing story about myself. Ashley & Peters wedding was our first one after an almost 2 month break so I wanted to arrive early to give myself some extra time to warm up and get back “in the groove”. She was getting ready at an airbnb on upper King St & Jay was bringing the boutineer’s to Peter’s location on Folly Beach.

How did you feel the morning of your wedding?

Nervous! I realized the importance of the location of the place to sleep the night before of the wedding. I couldn’t sleep until 1 am since it was the bar scene! but I woke up at 6 am that morning and had a cup of coffee. but still nervous!!

What was the most memorable moment of the wedding day?

the first look!

What was your favorite detail of the day?

The arch and the wedding party table even though I didn’t get to really sit down much lol

What did you splurge on & what did you save on?

I think I definitely splurged on the venue, but it was absolutely lovely!!

What made your wedding day special, unique or personalized to you as a couple?

Having all the family members since Peter has two families to accommodate to.

Whats the best advice you have for future couples planning their big day?

Do a plated dinner. For the money I spent and the quality & quantity of the food we expected to get, I just think it’s so much better to serve plated dinners so that each person got to fully enjoy the meal!

Is there anything you would change or do differently?

I would definitely suggest the bride and the groom to eat!! And definitely remember to attend the tables and greet them!

Also, I wouldn’t get so drunk!! I really wish I ate more so I could remember more!!
