Kauai Hawaii
Oh my goodness, Kauai was SO beautiful! We only spent about 5 days here but we saw so much! Originally we had a helicopter tour planned but the day of it was waaaay too windy and they cancelled it. We unfortunately didnt have the time to re-schedule, so maybe next time!
We spent a few days up on the North Shore near Princeville in an Air BNB so we were in driving distance to a lot of really cool “must see” places like Queens Bath (which was a little bit of a hike to get down to and very muddy but oh so gorgeous!), and Hanalei Bay.
We ate a LOT of shaved ice while in Kauai – it was so fricken good. I was having 3 a day!
Waimea Canyon & Na’Pali Coast Photos
Since Jay loves Jurassic Park we booked a Na’Pali Coast boat tour which was 6 hours long, but boat & air are the only ways to see this place and it was featured in the first Jurassic Park movie. The morning of the boat tour we drove to Waimea Canyon, aka the Grand Canyon of Hawaii. After spending a few hours driving around there (no hiking for us) we grabbed a quick lunch and a quick shaved ice before heading to the boat ramp to check in!
At one point we went UNDER a waterfall and got soaked and Jay got to snorkel with some sea turtles!
