Alyssa & Matt’s Disney World film engagement photos

Eek!! I am SO happy with how my film photos from Disney World turned out! We took a trip down to the most Magical Place on Earth last month with our friends Matt & Alyssa of Re-Peet Productions because 1. We all love Disney and 2. They’re getting married at the wedding pavilion next year with a Beauty and the Beast theme! And yes…we’re their wedding photographers (-; Though we are NOT affiliated with Disney in anyway.

This was such a fun trip because the last time Jay & I were at Magic Kingdom we got engaged in front of Rapunzels tower and I wasnt able to shoot film the way I wanted to last time because, um, ENGAGEMENT was on my brain. So this time I brought some new film stocks to try out because when I shoot film I want it to be colorful and bright and so I thought Disney would be a great place to practice, because paid shoots are NOT the time to experiment. Of course, Matt & Alyssa were so willing to model for me because I needed to see how this looked on skin tones (my findings were: awesome!).  Everyone even got to ride a “new to them” ride – for Jay and I it was the 7 Dwarfs Mine Train (the waits always been way too long for us to bother), and Matt & Alyssa got to experience The Carousel of Progress and The People Mover for the first time. Both are amazing nap rides if you need a break.

Alyssa and I are matched on our love for Disney. We dragged the boys out of bed before the sun rose to ensure we made it for rope drop –  something Jay was convinced didn’t even exist because when we lived in FL I would always try to get us there in time but we lived an hour away and always missed it. And we actually missed it the first day of this trip! We could SEE it happening from the ferry. We totally caught it the second day though (-: It brought tears to my eyes. The last time I saw rope drop at Magic Kingdom was when I worked for WDW back in 2011!
