Dapper Day at Disney World

I was SO excited to FINALLYYYYY go to Dapper Day at Disney World this year!!

I had our outfits all planned out. Day 1 we were going to go as Wendy Darling & Peter Pan. Day 2 we were going to be Rapunzel & Flynn.

And then my husband got a 24 hour stomach bug.

We had driven for 7 hours with three wild dogs in the car the day before. He went out until 2am with an old friend. We woke up for Day 1 and he said he didnt feel so good, so I went to breakfast with my sister, niece and brother in law. By the time I got back it was already 10:30am and I had an hour drive to Orlando. Jay still wasnt feeling well.

If you know me at all you know I have severe social anxiety, I cant do things alone. But damnit I was DETERMINED to go. I took a few deep breaths, told myself this was no different than when I worked at Disney and I got dressed and went!

Im glad I went alone but it still took a toll on my energy and I only stayed for 3 hours. I did get to meet up with my friends Rachel & Dan (whose Tangled themed wedding we photographed at Disney World in 2016 two days after we got engaged in front of Rapunzels tower…do you see a theme here??) who were so kind and let me take photos of them!

Day 2 went more smoothly. Jay felt well enough to come with me so off to Epcot we went where we met up with another bride of ours, Megan, and one of her bridesmaids, Valerie! THEY were kind enough to not only let me snap a few photos of them but they took the only photo we have of US (-;
