Erin & Taylor’s Middleton Place Wedding

Im kind of sad to be writing this blog post because it means that Erin & Taylors wedding is over!! Erin & I have become friends so at least I still get to talk to her about memes & murder & pop punk!

My fellow Kate Spade obsessed bride had the prettiest details waiting for me when I arrived at the Inn at Middleton to start documenting the day – and her sweet mom Debbie had something for me too…but this one I got to take home with me! Her mom made me a tote bag with RAPUNZEL on it and they filled it with goodies like some candles that Erin hand made!

But back to the wedding.

This couple really thought about every detail and included family heirlooms & their seriously talented friends to make the day more special. The wedding invitations & bottle of Veuve Clicquot were hand done by a friend. The stone in Erin’s engagement ring is from Taylor’s grandmother’s ring and Taylor wore a tie bar that belonged to his grandfather (and his tie had oysters on it!). Erin borrowed her mom’s pearl necklace to wear. Erin & Debbie love to go to France so they brought back another bottle of Veuve & Moet champagne glasses from France.

During their engagement party they had their wedding party sign a bottle of Fireball (which is a big part of how they first met!) and immediately after the ceremony they all poured shots with it and cheersed the new Mr & Mrs!

But my favorite detail was the wedding band: Erin & Taylor brought their live band down from Washington DC because they love them so much and because they absolutely NAILED all of the pop-punk songs the couple wanted to sing & dance to! It was so fun for Jay & I because we both love pop punk too – he was in a pop punk band for 10 years. It doesnt get better than hearing a live rendition of Sugar We’re Goin Down at a wedding and having every single person in the room belting it out at the top of their lungs (-;
