Runnymede does offer a Suite but its fairly small and its better off as a spot to store your things & a quiet place to retreat on your wedding day rather than a space to actually start your day at.
We recommend one of the hotels in downtown Charleston, about a 30 minute drive away.

We love the giant oak tree as a ceremony spot but the old brick chimney is another great spot.
Our recommendation for your ceremony time depends on if you're doing a First Look or not:
You're doing a First Look - start at least 2 hours before Sunset
You're NOT doing a First Look - start at least 3 hours before sunset
(talk with your photographer about timing if you're choosing the oak tree! The light can be very difficult on sunny days so you want to make sure you set it up at the right time & the right spot)
There is a permanent tent structure that many people use for their reception but we've also seen the ruins used for the actual reception space, not just cocktail hour.
We personally think that Runnymede really loves lots of color (-;
You'll definitely want to consider adding some additional lighting options like candles, cafe lights & colored uplighting - it really adds depth to the reception space.
100% of your photos can be done at Runnymede! Its fairly walkable. You could also do your First Look & Portraits downtown and do wedding party & family photos at Runnymede.
It's gotta be the brick ruins from the 1882 Victorian mansion!
