Getting Ready at Lowndes Grove

A relaxed morning spent with your favorite people, sipping champagne, getting dolled up while wearing matching pjs, and having a dance party sounds like the best way to kick off your wedding day…which is exactly how Abby spent hers!

Abby wore a really fun pair of drop earrings in the shape of flowers & also carried a family heirloom with her – a handkerchief that has been in every wedding in her family since 1917!! An index card is kept with the heirloom with the couples name & wedding date on it and I am LIVING for this kind of tradition.

1st Look & Portraits

Abby wanted to do the First Look INSIDE Lowndes Grove so I set her & Mitch up in-between a fireplace and counted down to 3, which was their que to walk out towards each other and they had the cutest reactions!!

Lowndes Grove Ceremony

The ceremony took place on the front lawn of Lowndes Grove with the Ashley River in the background where Abby & Mitch were married by their friend.

Cocktail Hour & Reception

The couple took my advice and stayed together while greeting their guests at cocktail hour (it really helps you remember it better and why WOULDNT you want to spend time together at your own wedding?!) and because of this, we were able to capture some really sweet and fun moments for them to cherish, like when they hung out with all their grandparents who were in one room, and a silly cousin photo in another room!

These two (and their guests) tore up the dance floor! Abby even changed into a jumpsuit so she had more freedom!
