Getting Ready at Belmond

Everyone got ready downtown at the Belmond & I had a lot of fun styling Kaitlyn’s details! The bridesmaids were also thrilled to see that my styling background exactly matched their dresses which I didnt do on purpose but yay for happy accidents!

Kaitlyn was helped into her dress by her grandmother & her mom, who passed on a pearl ring to her! It was very sweet.

Because having to reschedule your wedding during a global pandemic & your guest count dropping the week of your wedding was ENOUGH to deal with, literally 3 days before the wedding happened a huge tree limb fell on the historic white bridge that Kaitlyn & Will wanted to share their first look on.

The structure of the bridge was seriously damaged so we knew we couldn’t use it…but FEAR NOT because Magnolia actually has THREE white bridges! The other two are smaller, not famous, and tucked away so a lot of people dont know about them but it worked out because it made their First Look even more intimate and private and they still got white bridge photos (-;

Then I used & abused my very favorite spot, which is the oak tree in the over flow parking area. Kaitlyn wasnt mad about it, it turns out thats her favorite spot too!

Ceremony Under the Oak Tree

One of my favorite places for a wedding ceremony is under an oak tree with spanish moss but throw in a floral installment and you have made me ascend to another dimension. The real icing on the cake would have been if the nesting peacock had come out of hiding but honestly, it probably would have attacked all of us so its better it stayed hidden I guess.

Kaitlyn & her dad arrived to the ceremony in a vintage Rolls Royce (and later that night Kaitlyn & Will left in it) and I just LOVE the photo Jay got of Kaitlyn looking out the window towards Will!

Pink & Gold Wedding Details

Pink & gold as wedding colors is a new classic for good reason: it just looks damn good! I cannot express how much I love the hanging floral installation over the head table – bringing the garden vibes indoors is something I’ll never hate!

Magnolia Plantation Reception

The cocktail hour and reception took place at the Carriage House where guests sipped on custom drinks, played cornhole and danced the night away before sending the couple off with a sparkler exit!
