Cole & Nick’s destination wedding at 62 Broad Street and Merchants Hall
was an absolute perfect mix of whimsy & romance!
Cole, a fellow Disney lover, gifted all of her bridesmaids custom painted Toms shoes with different Disney couples! She herself had two pairs – her hand painted shoes were Wendy & Peter because her & Nick’s dogs are called Captain Hook & Wendy! Her other pair was from the Cinderella line Toms came out with.
Nick wore a pair of socks with their actual dog’s face on it! We sadly didnt get to meet Hook & Wendy due to an unforeseen medical procedure poor little Wendy needed right before the wedding, but originally they were supposed to be the Flower Girl & Best Pup.
The wedding ceremony was at 62 Broad Street where Nick surprised their guests with a gospel choir. The reception was at Merchants Hall but it felt like an indoor garden party with all the hanging flowers above the tables!
Nick — “Pretty good.”
Cole — I was excited. The day seemed to fly by.
Nick — “The choir.”
Cole — The most memorable moment of the day was doing our first look. Nick could finally see my dress!
Nick — “You.” (As in Cole, haha).
Cole — I can’t pick 1 favorite detail of the day; I loved everything Blythe planned, my bridesmaids Disney princess shoes, the Hook & Wendy charm on my bouquet, and Nick’s Hook socks.
Nick — “Splurged on everything; Saved on nothing.”
Cole — We definitely splurged on florals, but florals are one of the most important details of the day. We saved on venue cost; Our venue included table and chair rentals in the price, and those would have added up fast!
Nick — “Our wedding planner.”
Cole — Blythe did an amazing job at making our wedding as personalized as possible! She included a gospel choir that Nick really wanted and we each had our own signature drink. In general, Nick and I tend to do things the unconventional way. So doing a first look and spending time together before the ceremony was on the more unconventional side, but totally us.
Nick — “Just elope.”
Cole — My best advice is to not stress! Everything that is meant to happen will happen, and what doesn’t happen just wasn’t meant to be. Being able to completely enjoy our day and not worry about anything was the best part, as a bride.
Nick — “Elope.”
Cole — The only thing I would change would be to have our fur babies at the wedding (but that was beyond our control), other than that I wouldn’t have changed a thing!
